PERFECT PLUS STYLE

STATEMENT EARRINGs TREND If there is one piece of jewelry that is fun to change up  are earrings.  I have always found I seem to stick to one or two styles, hoops , pearls and a pair of diamond studs.  But now there are so many interesting designs  that I am tempted to try a few new looks for the summer. A earring can add some interest to an outfit, and you don't need much else. So why not go bigger and make a statement? Colourful and fun, tassels or modern design ? Beaded or fringes , I say , YES!

STYLING A SIMPLE SHIRT  One dress I have found the most versatile and simple to wear is a great Shirt dress. Whether sleeveless  or with sleeves it is a practical look.  Shirts can be styled in so many different ways. Stylish and simple for summer is a must in my summer time style. Comfortable shoes and a carry all bag if planning a trip to beach , shopping or traveling. THE SHIRT SEASON A great shirt dress is absolutely practical, you can wear it to work  under a nice blazer or going to lunch or anytime . whether you are shopping or going to movies.   A perfect mule and accessories add the extra fun look to the shirt dress.  A SPORTY SHIRT LOOK a simple sporty look for the summer, wear with sandals, espadrille or sneakers.  Add a straw bag, or backpack . This would be my outfit for cycling.

SHOES OR RUNNERS? I see so many fashion blogger are wearing runners these days.  Worn with dresses, skirts, suits  and of course denim jeans.  Okay I will admit , i am on the sideline. Runners are comfortable and a sporty shoe, but that is where I am sitting on the fence . I  am really a shoe girl at heart. Sport shoes or runners are for that ... sports.   But of course not everyone likes to wear heels and some find them extremely uncomfortable.  A comfortable shoe is important for our feet. So what works for some, does not always work for another.  I  adore espadrilles  for the added height and the fact there is not heel to get caught .   Another option is a nice wedge  heel. Kitten heels are so stylish with a summery dress , slacks, or jeans. They add a bit of fun and style to an outfit.  Flats are another option , whether a ballet flat or sandal. So shoe shopping is on my list for the summer. Here are a few pairs...

FOR THE SPECIAL MOMS  We can all relate I am sure , what to get your mom for mothers day? Here are some ideas for the mothers with a different interests or hobbies. I know I would love anyone of these things.....  (hint hint) Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!!! FOR A GARDEN LOVER For my pick FLOWERS , a bouquet  tied with a gorgeous satin ribbon. or a Flowering plant for the garden. Flowers that last and are showy are always a great thing. Check out a local garden center for ideas . Peonies or hydrangeas  with the beautiful colours of whites, blues or purples. A gorgeous rose bush or climbing plant.  Just be aware of the conditions needed, sunny , partial sun or full sun. Herbal garden nothing is nicer then fresh herbs, if your mom loves to use herbs in her cooking then she would no doubt love a little herb garden plants like basil, thyme, dill or oregano . THE POM POM CRAZE The fun little things that were around last summer are still part of this summer fixation. From purses , sandels, earrings or most anywhere you can put a tassel or pom pom  you can see them. They are fun and do add  a little whimsy to a look. SUMMERTIME DREAMING Yes the summer temperatures have arrived . Its hot and that only makes me think of being at the lake, or anywhere there is water. So to have a few ideas for what to wear  a few swimsuit ideas  are needed. I am not so keen on 2 pieces  but if one wants to get some color , then it is a thought. One option is a Tankini, a longer version top that covers the midriff but you can fold up too. So here are some of my favourites for the summer. Pick the right fit that is comfortable and sits right, no slipping straps, or things that make it uncomfortable to wear. Comfort and confidence in what you are wearing is really important.
