FOR A GARDEN LOVER


For my pick FLOWERS , a bouquet  tied with a gorgeous satin ribbon.
or a Flowering plant for the garden.

Flowers that last and are showy are always a great thing. Check out a local garden center for ideas .
Peonies or hydrangeas  with the beautiful colours of whites, blues or purples.
A gorgeous rose bush or climbing plant.  Just be aware of the conditions needed, sunny , partial sun or full sun.

Herbal garden nothing is nicer then fresh herbs, if your mom loves to use herbs in her cooking then
she would no doubt love a little herb garden plants like basil, thyme, dill or oregano . A sunny window sill and voila , the plants will love it and she will too.

Planter pots in terracotta are the best for plants . Also it gives the outdoor space a bit of italiano vibe.

Solar lights  add such a dreamy look to a garden  ... can't get enough of them.
Even some LED candles are perfect to set out on the patio table for dinners.

A wicker bag or basket to carry the beautiful flowers, wines or other things.

Travelling is all about memories and a good digital camera  is a must, something simple to handle, pack or carry is ideal.

I am leaving out household items... hmmm , why most moms are always in the kitchen
and from my personal experience,, my mom hated getting a kitchen gadget.
Its about HER what she likes most.. sure a nice porcelain coffee cup or tea thing  might be nice.

  I love a change now and then , but lets face it, it is not always possible or can be to expensive if you follow trends . Shopping for new things can really add up and also adds more clutter to our closets. Of course we can donate some items or sell online. But it is also a good idea to look for pieces that will last for several years. I have some pieces in my closet that would be considered vintage. Linen suit or a designer knit top.   SIMPLE CHANGES  Sometimes I like a simple change . One of my favourite ways to make a change are my nails.  A new nail polish is always  so fun to try. Not only does it look nice but it can cheer one up to have a simple change. I have tried many different brands of polishes, once i find a colour I love I make sure to get extra, because nothing is more annoying if it is discontinued.  SO now is time for a simple easy change.   What about you? THE PLUS SIDE OF FASHION

BEING A PLUS  THE OTHER DAY I CAME ACROSS AN ARTICLE ABOUT THE TEN FAMOUS PLUS SIZE MODELS.  I THINK IT IS GREAT TO SEE THE WOMAN WITH MORE CURVES MAKING CHANGES IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY, AND IT IS ALSO A GOOD BUSINESS IDEA. BUT I LOOK AT THOSE MODELS - THEY ARE MODELS AND AGAIN IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE THAT WOMAN THAT ARE PLUS SIZE ARE AS TALL AS THOSE GIRLS. SO A SIZE 18 PLUS  ON SOMEONE TALLER LOOKS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THEN ON SOMEONE SHORTER. SO AGAIN IT REALLY IS NOT THE NORM FOR MOST GIRLS OR WOMEN, THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF 5,2  TO 5,6. IT IS WONDERFUL TO SEE THE YOUNGER WOMEN BEING PART OF THE RUNWAYS OR FASHION MAGAZINES AND ITS A GREAT INSPIRATION FOR THOSE THAT READ OR FOLLOW INSTAGRAM. WELL I WAS LOOKING AT THE SOME OF THE PHOTOS OF THESE MODELS, SO MANY WERE PHOTOS OF SWIMWEAR OR POSES THAT WERE OVERLY SEXY. MORE AND MORE IMAGES SEEM TO SHOW CURVY WOMAN IN POSES THAT ARE NOT ABOUT THE FASHION BUT SOMETHING ELSE.   THIS TO ME IS  A BIG SHAME, AS IT MAKES WOMAN

THE PERFECT - OUTDOOR HIKING RAINWEAR / FASHION

APRIL SHOWERS...... MAKE THAT MAY SHOWERS Hi everyone, been a while since I last posted, but really with lockdowns wasn't much to share . Fashions were all about comfort and loungewear . How many loungewear posts can one look at. But now that we are finally over lockdowns and travel is soon possible , there are things to look forward to. Like getting outdoors, going for hikes or camping.  We have had a mixed bag of weather  lately, some hot days followed by cooler, then rainy days. Its actually nice to have some rain. I like how fresh the air is after a good downpour.   One thing needed for such unusual weather is a decent jacket : I don't mind to be out in the rain, so long as I have the right jacket or coat. I like  a hooded one that covers one well and protects your head. I use to have  a  longer nylon  jacket with a concealed hood hidden in the collar , which was nice and compact for travel and didn't look like  sportswear.  But now  I wanted one with some extras.
